Here, we are compiling all the information you need to find places to explore in the OutdoorsWest area.
Maps
We have an interactive mapping system at OutdoorsWest, showing all the Public Rights of Way you can walk, run, horse ride, cycle or otherwise explore in the OutdoorsWest area. You can use this mapping to plan routes, look at pictures taken along the paths, or report problems you come across.

Please note that maps on OutdoorsWest are not a legal record of public rights of way and have not been fully checked for accuracy. If you have a query about the status of any path please contact the Public Rights of Way sections in the Councils. Full terms and conditions are here.

Routes
One our most exciting plans is to compile reliable prepared routes for you to follow yourself. Not just those prepared by the councils and OutdoorsWest, but bringing together the routes many other organisations in the area have produced, to have them in one place for you to find them, on OutdoorsWest. For a selection to get on with we have some routes in this Maps and Routes section - use the menu on the left to explore.
We are also working on our mapping system where you will be able to search, view, download and print routes to take with you. These walks, runs, nature rambles, horse rides, suggested walking commuting routes and more are being surveyed and compiled by volunteers. They're on maps with directions for you to follow, or in some cases audio downloads. We're working with others - the Wildlife Trusts, Ramblers, British Horse Society, Museums, health walk groups and others to put these together.
