Guided walks of differing lengths and level of difficulty will be taking place in and around the village of Horton, a small South Gloucestershire village at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment. Most walks will start from Horton Village Hall where there is car parking, facilities and where refreshments serving locally produced food will be served all weekend and where there will be displays and stalls.
As well as walks, there will be an illustrative talk on Friday evening about trekking in Nepal, Photographic workshops run by professional photographer Rupert Marlow of Bristol by Pixel which will enable you to learn about how to get the best of your camera and enable you to put what you learn into action, there will also be a pub quiz at Horton Social club on Saturday evening.
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust are also guiding walks at their local reserve, Lower Woods and on Sunday afternoon there will be a special opening of the National Trust property Horton Court. This should be an event that gives the opportunity to get out and enjoy our beautiful countryside and where there is something to interest everyone.
