South Gloucestershire Council's Natural Environment Team are with the Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group this Friday looking for bats and other wildlife in the reserve. It's a chance to experience what the nights have to offer outdoors as the evenings start to draw in.
The event is on Friday the 7th October at Three Brooks Nature Reserve in Bradley Stoke, from 4:15pm to 8:15pm. More details are here on the BBC's Autumnwatch website. And South Gloucestershire Council have also produced a leaflet including a map of the nature reserve.
From this Friday, the BBC's 'Autumnwatch Live' programmes start on BBC2 at 8:30pm, followed by 'Autumnwatch Unsprung at 9:30pm. Presented by Michaela Strachan, Chris Packham and Martin Hughes-Game and produced by the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol, the first four weeks of the programme will be based at Westonbirt Arboretum and the final four weeks at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Slimbridge - both of which are near to the OutdoorsWest area.
Rather than just enjoying the natural world on your tv, we hope Autumnwatch will inspire you to get out to enjoy the fresh air in the OutdoorsWest area .
